Happy Birthday to my Cookiemonster.
I wanted to make this a special birthday for Kim as it's his last birthday before the baby arrives, and we are free to do whatever we want.
I woke up early on Friday morning to make wake Kim up with a cup of coffee and his gift. Then that evening I booked us for a dinner at Hedwig's Fine Dining Restaurant at the Aloe Ridge Hotel in the Cradle of Humankind, and my Mom joined us. But Kim's actual big birthday present was a trip to the De Wildt Cheetah Farm the next day outside Hartbeespoort Dam and a night at their Lodge in the King Cheetah Suite.
Wow, what a surprise experience. We both had an awesome time and even got to stroke a purring King Cheetah named Shaka. We also got to to see hyena, wild dog, caracal and vultures. This is an experience I will never forget and one that is highly recommended!
