About Us

My photo
We are the Pomario Family and we used to live in Johannesburg, South Africa. On the 10 July 2009 at 8.05 our little family grew to 3 when our precious daughter Natalia was born. We were blessed that she had chosen us to be her parents and we were privileged to have her in our lives. We believe she is here to teach us many lessons and give us plenty of joy. We relocated to Australia in April 2011. These are our stories……

A Morning With Granny Sheila

We went the Botanical Gardens again this morning with Granny Sheila this time. Natalia had a ball as always and wanted to try on her shades. I think we should get her her own pair, just a cheapie to start off with!

And at the end of our walk she passed out. I always know she's had a good morning when she goes to sleep so easily.

In the afternoon, we went to a place called Tres Jolie. There was a small animal farm, which Natalia loved, and a play area with jungle gyms, jumping castles etc.

Weekend Pictures

Natalia loves playing in sand, water, mud. Here she is at Granny Sheila's house and having a ball.
Yummy - Natalia licking out her bowl.......

We went to a place called Seredipity in Rosebank, a place where parents can sit back, have lunch or cake, a cuppa tea, read a book - while the kids are taken care of. Each child gets a minder and this minder looks after them the entire time, playing with them, engaging them. The food isn't cheap, but the experience is so worth it. It is also very safe as your child can not be 'taken' out of the property without the parent signing them out, which is a good feeling. I recommend it to everyone!

Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens

We woke up this morning wondering what we could do for 'fun'. This is the first weekend in months where we have absolutely nothing planned; no birthdays, no arrangements. We have been meaning to go the the botanical gardens for ages and this was our chance. The Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens are spectacular and so close. We spent about 2 hours walking around, Natalia spent her energy crawling everywhere. And at about 10.30 she passed out which is unlike her. She usually only naps at about 12.30.

I wish Natalia would start walking already, but she shows no interest. She is walking along things, but when I try and take her hands she plonks her bum down. I know crawling is excellent and it should be done for the longest amount of time, but the only reason I want her to start walking is because all her pants are looking 'manky' and the knee area gets so stained and filthy. I hate to put nice pants or denims on her because they just get ruined........

Malakai Turns 2

So little mister turned 2 today! I cant believe that 2 years have gone by so quickly. The theme was 'On the Farm' and he had such a cute cake. There were a donzen kids running around of all ages and we all had a great day. Natalia's favourite place was the sandpit. She loves the outdoors - playing with sand, mud, water. She just wont wear a hat which will be a problem when summer arrives. Her skin is very fair and you know what that means!
